Toledo area braces for ripple effects of factory shutdowns

Work at the firm's Jeep assembly complex in Toledo will be idle until Jan. 26.
The same can be said for the effects of the 1,300 workers furloughed from the General Motors Corp. Toledo Powertrain plants in Toledo and Defiance. Those workers will be laid off starting today through Jan. 20.
