That was the nature of the Tokyo Motor Show through the '00s; balancing sci-fi Green concepts with high-tech, singularly Japanese enthusiasts' cars. Ironic that the Green cars are scheduled to go to production as the Tokyo show fades and gives way to the Shanghai/Beijing shows.
